At Bradley & Co., we build each portfolio in a customized way, guided by rigorous financial planning, and committed to certain fundamental principles.

Equities should act as the cornerstone of most investment portfolios.

Our discretionary stock portfolios typically have 10-12 individual equities. We follow what we describe as a “global leader strategy”, making investments in companies that are dominant in their industries, but innovaters in their fields - respected by their competitors and admired by their customers.

We are focused on the long-term characteristics of a company; Our goal is to hold a position throughout several market cycles. We look for companies with healthy balance sheets, a commitment to innovation, and strong management teams.

Companies that meet our screens tend to have strong relationships with the communities they serve, an ability to manage crisis and established markets.

We believe commodities can act as an inflation hedge and tend to have a negative correlation to stocks and bonds during times of tumult. Therefore, the inclusion of commodities in an investment portfolio improves returns and reduces overall risk over the lifetime of a client's portfolio.  We have experience with handling both commodity contracts and fund investments in various materials.

Determining the right bonds and other income producing securities is an important part of wealth management and involves assessing  each client's tax situation to determine what types of bonds are most appropriate to their individual needs.  In customizing fixed income portfolios, we balance our clients' needs to realities of the fixed income marketplace and construct customized ladders to meet a client's unique situation.
